Teen Wellness: How to Manage Stress and Anxiety
In this upcoming workshop through our Youth Leadership series, we will provide teens with the resources and tools to help them cope with everyday pressures and to encourage overall wellness.
Through small group discussions, journaling and activities, the intention of the wellness workshop will be to connect teens in a safe and supported environment, teach them about physiological, cognitive and emotional responses to stress and anxiety, and to explore different modalities and strategies for anxiety and stress reduction.
The workshop is for teens aged 13-18. Pizza dinner will be provided as well as snacks. Bring your own water bottle and wear comfortable clothing. All workshop supplies provided.

Angie Davis is an Ontario elementary school teacher with fifteen years of teaching experience, and over 20 years experience working with youth. She is a member of the Mental Health Steering Committee of Trillium Lakelands D.S.B. and is trained in Mental Health First Aid, Mental Health Sensitivity, and ASIST suicide intervention training. Angie is a Registered Yoga Teacher, a Level 1 iRest® Yoga Nidra Teacher, and a Trauma Sensitive Yoga Teacher. Angie writes and presents provincially on the topics of health and wellness.
